Race For Philanthropy is designed as a celebration, not a sit-down event.
Set at Mission Farm, the setting recalls the Kentucky countryside you might pass on the way to Churchill Downs: open fields, barns, and outdoor spaces styled with relaxed, rustic elegance. You’re encouraged to dress for the occasion, leaning into Derby style, coordinated looks, and hats, with friendly awards recognizing creativity and spirit.
You can take part in a curated silent auction and general raffles open to everyone, featuring splurge-worthy items and one-of-a-kind experiences — opportunities that feel special to win, not off-the-shelf.
Food is served through a mix of chef-attended and self-serve stations inspired by traditional Kentucky Derby fare, so you eat when and how you like. Outdoor lounges are arranged for comfort and conversation, creating an intimate feel within the open setting.
The bar offers a well-curated selection of traditional Derby cocktails, along with wines, beers, and spirits from official brand partners, chosen to complement both the menu and the pace of the evening.
As the Kentucky Derby approaches, lighthearted wagering adds shared anticipation. If you wager successfully — or are recognized for standout attire, coordinated looks, or an especially memorable hat — you’re awarded entries into a special, limited raffle reserved just for those moments.
There’s no formal program, just a brief welcome to share the mission. The rest of the evening unfolds at your own pace. The atmosphere sets the tone for a little tradition, a little creativity, and a lot of personal style.
This gathering is curated with intentionality. Attendance is exclusively by invitation through hosts and sponsors — not through public ticket sales or open requests.

Race For Philanthropy embraces the style and spirit of the Derby. Guests are encouraged to dress in classic Derby fashion: festive, polished, and comfortable enough to enjoy the evening.
Hats, fascinators, bright colors, and spring attire are all part of the fun, but there are no rules. Come as yourself.
Throughout the evening, guests will also have opportunities to support the mission in ways that feel comfortable and optional; woven into the experience rather than staged as interruptions.
Throughout the afternoon, guests may choose to participate in a curated selection of auction items and raffles that reflect quality, access, and craftsmanship.
Rather than volume or novelty, the focus is on experiences and offerings that feel special — the kind you don’t come across every day.
You can expect opportunities such as:
Each of these offerings supports something larger — helping turn a memorable afternoon into lasting impact.

Race For Philanthropy is a fundraiser benefiting the Denver / Lake Norman Rotary Club Foundation, supporting grantmaking and community initiatives across Western North Carolina, with a particular emphasis on Lincoln County.
The Foundation’s work is made possible through sponsorships, auction and raffle participation, and voluntary contributions — offered in ways that respect both the experience and the guest.
With that shared purpose in mind, the evening comes to a close by recognizing the people who helped make it all possible.
At the conclusion of Race For Philanthropy, the experience continues with the Winner’s Circle Reception — a smaller closing gathering designed to bring the evening to a warm, unhurried close.
Hosts and sponsors are invited to join this final moment, along with a limited number of invited guests. There is no program or formal agenda — just a relaxed toast and time to reconnect with the people who helped bring the day together.
The Winner’s Circle is not a separate event or a ticketed upgrade. It is simply a quieter way to say thank you.
